How to check a Curaçao casino licence number

Take the number from the casino's footer or terms. A current licence reads OGL/2024/… or CGA/2025/… and ends in a four-digit sequence number. Paste it into the checker above and it is matched against the CGA's Online Gaming License Registry, the edition of 3 September 2026 with 662licences, and the CGA's separate enforcement register. You can also search by casino name or web address if you have no number to hand. The result names the licensee company, says whether it is a B2C operator or a B2B supplier, and prints the register's status column word for word.

Read that status carefully, because only two of its five values are reassuring. “Indefinite” is a licence with no expiry date. “Assessment in progress” is the CGA's wording for an assessment it has not yet finished, and it is the commonest status on the register, so it is not a warning sign on its own. “Expired” and “Revoked … at the request of the operator” both mean the site no longer holds a CGA licence, whatever its footer still shows. A blank status means the register prints nothing at all for that row, so nothing is confirmed either way.

Then confirm the certificate. Every CGA licence has a public certificate page at cert.cga.cw/token?id= followed by the last segment of the number without its leading zeros, so OGL/2024/250/0115 resolves at cert.cga.cw/token?id=115. The certificate names the licensee and company number and lists the approved domains, which the register PDF does not, so check that the domain you played on is there and that the company matches the terms letter for letter. The licence decides where your complaint can go

Every online casino answers to whoever issued its licence, and to nobody else. That one fact decides most of what happens after a withdrawal stalls: which rules the operator has to follow, which complaints body will hear you, and whether any regulator will hear you at all. A licence from your own country's regulator carries that country's framework: in Great Britain, for example, GamStop participation, an approved dispute-resolution route and the Gambling Commission's conduct rules. An offshore licence from Curaçao, Malta, Gibraltar, Kahnawake or Anjouan swaps that framework for something thinner, and each regime runs its own complaint route with its own expectations of the operator.

GamStop is where the confusion usually starts. The scheme only covers sites licensed in Great Britain, so if the casino in front of you holds a Curaçao or Anjouan licence, a GamStop self-exclusion does not block it and the UK dispute-resolution framework does not apply to it. Some sites hold no licence at all: a Costa Rica company registration, for instance, is not a gaming licence, whatever the terms and conditions claim. With no regulator behind the site, a claim runs on preserved evidence and the operator's own contractual terms instead.

How we compile the files

Results on this page come from two datasets. The first is our own research files: each is built from the operator's published terms, licence validators and regulator registers, plus any public rulings or clearly labelled third-party reports, with every documented issue stored alongside its issuing body, date and source link. That dataset covers 93 operators and was last reviewed on 3 September 2026. The second is the Curaçao Gaming Authority's own licence registry: 662 published licences, parsed from the official register (register last updated 3 September 2026) together with the CGA's enforcement register, so a licence number search shows the status and any revocation the authority itself has published.
