freshbet.me or freshbet.com: which site did you play on?

People reach this file from two different addresses, freshbet.com and freshbet.me, and the first thing to settle is which of them took your deposits, because only one of them can be read.

freshbet.com answered normally on 16 September 2026 and names its operator in its own terms. Clause 1 states that freshbet.com is owned and operated by Ryker B.V., registration number 154186, in Willemstad, Curaçao, and the same clause gives that company a second, different registered address a few lines later, so the two addresses sit side by side in the published text. It names Ryker Development Limited, registered in Cyprus, as a payment agent rather than as the operator, says that Ryker B.V. has an application pending with the GCB, and makes the terms governed by the laws of Curaçao. No licence number appears on that page or on the site's Company Details page, which carries only a short description of the brand. The number is on the register instead: the Curaçao Gaming Authority licence register edition of 3 September 2026, matched on 16 September 2026, carries OGL/2024/1800/1049 against Ryker B.V. with the status Indefinite, which is the chain this file's licence position rests on.

freshbet.me could not be read at all. Both a direct request and a browser request on 16 September 2026 returned HTTP 403 and a Cloudflare interstitial headed "Sorry, you have been blocked", with the text "You are unable to access freshbet.me". No footer, no terms and no operating entity could be obtained from it, so this file does not state whether freshbet.me mirrors freshbet.com, runs on the same licence, or is operated by anyone connected to Ryker B.V. That is not a finding about the site; it is the limit of what a blocked read can support.

For a player, the practical consequence is the same one the evidence always turns on. Your card or bank statements, and the confirmation emails from the account you opened, record which address actually took the money and which company name appears on the payment line. Freshbet's own footer and terms state that www.freshbet.com is operated by Ryker B.V., company number 154186, and licensed by the Curacao Gaming Control Board under licence OGL/2024/1800/1049 in accordance with the National Ordinance on Offshore Games of Hazard (NOOGH), an older Curacao ordinance name that sits alongside the LOK-era framework the CGA's certificate portal now cites. The CGA's own certificate at cert.cga.cw confirms the pairing: Ryker B.V., company number 154186, under OGL/2024/1800/1049, which the CGA online licence register, edition 3 September 2026, records as issued 24 December 2025 with status Indefinite, with freshbet.com listed among 29 approved domains that also include freshbet.me and six numbered freshbet mirrors, plus jackbit.com, jackbit.io, jackbit.live, casinok.com and 20bets.com. The CGA's online licence register, in its 3 September 2026 edition, records that same licence's status as Indefinite. Freshbet's own terms name a second entity, Ryker Development Limited of Cyprus, as payment agent, and, unusually, give two different Curacao registered addresses for Ryker B.V. within the same clause, while separately stating that 'Ryker B.V. is pending application by the GCB': three details that do not sit easily together and are reproduced here rather than reconciled.

Ryker B.V.'s certificate covers Jackbit and its mirrors, 20Bets and CasinOK on the same approved-domain list as Freshbet, so all four sites answer to the same licensee. Jack.com is not one of them. Despite the shared naming pattern and Jackbit's own 2026 rebrand history, Jack.com is licensed separately to Data Link Digital B.V. (company number 164124) under a different Curacao certificate, OGL/2024/1562/1139, and does not appear on Ryker B.V.'s domain list. A player who has dealt with both Freshbet and Jack.com is dealing with two different corporate licensees under the same regulator, not one group.

What the terms allow Freshbet to do

The terms at freshbet.com/legal/terms give the Company wide discretion and carry an internal inconsistency worth flagging. Clause 3 (Who Can Play) lists Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Georgia, Saba, Russia, Belarus, St Maarten, the U.S.A. and FATF-blacklisted countries as excluded; the United Kingdom is not on that list. Clause 4 (Availability of Games), a separate list a few lines below, excludes United Kingdom residents from registering and using the services alongside Australia, France, Spain and others. The two clauses do not agree with each other on whether a UK resident may register at all.

Clause 8 makes the Company the final decision-maker on whether a player has broken the terms, and reserves the right to cancel bets, seize winnings and claim back paid winnings in a long list of circumstances decided at its own discretion. Clause 9 lets the Company request identity verification at any time, including video verification, and to terminate the account and hold funds, with winnings confiscated, if that proof is not provided; it also allows closing an account and refunding only the balance, minus withdrawal charges, without giving a reason. Clause 12 sets a maximum withdrawal of EUR 7,500 (roughly £6,400/$8,300) per week and EUR 15,000 (roughly £12,800/$16,600) per month, paid in instalments above that, and a Maximum Win Limit of EUR 300,000 (roughly £256,000/$332,000) per single bet or spin, with anything above that cut from the balance before payment. Clause 13 forbids a player from selling or legally transferring any claim against the Company to a third party without its prior written approval, which bears directly on how a dispute has to be pursued. Clause 14 charges a EUR 10 monthly administrative fee on an account left untouched for 12 months. Clause 16 gives a player two months from an issue arising to complain, after which the complaint may be disregarded, and states that the Company's own server logs and records are the final authority in any dispute.

Complaints published on AskGamblers describe withdrawal requests left pending for months, including one player's account of a withdrawal held for over a year and a half on a sum of $14,281 (roughly £11,270), extended video-verification requests with no timeframe given, accounts placed under investigation for up to six months with funds locked after larger wins, and one case describing a promised EUR 5,000 goodwill settlement that reportedly went unpaid after months of follow-up. Several complaints also describe the weekly and monthly withdrawal caps forcing a win to be paid out in instalments rather than in full.

Separately, and previously recorded rather than re-read this session, casino.guru's complaints record describes a UK player whose EUR 600 (roughly £515/$680) in winnings were confiscated on a duplicate-account claim, despite the player's account that they had previously self-excluded and were then allowed to register, deposit, play and verify a new account using the same details. The casino.guru Complaints Team closed that case without recovery for the player, finding it could not challenge the casino's one-account-per-person rule in the absence of clear evidence that the original account had been closed for gambling-addiction reasons. Both sets of reports are attributed player and publisher accounts rather than regulatory findings, and the AskGamblers resolution rate shows that a pressed complaint does move a majority of cases either way.

If the amount is large

Size changes how Freshbet handles an account, and in Curaçao the anti-money-laundering regulations issued in January 2025 are the reason. They oblige Freshbet to complete customer due diligence once your financial transactions reach NAf 4,000, roughly £1,700 / $2,200, and Freshbet works that threshold out daily across all deposits and withdrawals since the relationship began, not on the single Freshbet payment in front of it. If the line is crossed on a Freshbet withdrawal request, the regulations say the Freshbet account should be frozen completely while the checks run. Where you are playing from

The route against Freshbet is set by Curaçao law, not by where you live. Start with a written complaint to Freshbet: the LOK gives you six months from the incident, costs nothing, and obliges Freshbet to acknowledge within a week and answer within four weeks, with one four-week extension allowed to Freshbet. Unresolved, the LOK requires a licensee to offer alternative dispute resolution at its own expense and the Authority requires that body to be a CGA-certified one, on a timetable it expects to run no longer than 90 days; a licensee that has not engaged a certified provider is short of that requirement rather than outside it. Copy complaints@cga.cw: the Curaçao Gaming Authority will not decide your Freshbet case or award compensation, but it uses complaints to police the Freshbet licence. The final step against Freshbet is the Curaçao court, because Article 5.5 obliges a licensee to write Curaçao law and the Curaçao courts into the gaming agreement, and the old civil-code bar on gambling claims no longer applies to claims against a licensee.

If you are in the United States

Online gambling in the United States is regulated state by state, and Freshbet holds no state licence, so no state regulator has authority over your Freshbet account or over the money Freshbet is holding. That is the point a bipartisan coalition of 50 state attorneys general put to the Department of Justice in August 2025, asking it to act against offshore platforms operating without proper licensure: enforcement, not a refund scheme for a Freshbet player. If you are in the EU

Austria and Germany are the two EU markets where courts have recognised a refund claim against an operator like Freshbet with no domestic licence. The Austrian Supreme Court settled it in 1 Ob 229/20p: no Austrian concession, no effective contract, stake repayable, which is what an Austrian Freshbet player relies on. In Germany the Court of Justice of the EU (Case C-440/23, 16 April 2026) confirmed that such restitution claims are compatible with EU law, which is the ground an EU Freshbet player stands on, on facts involving Malta-licensed operators rather than Freshbet; the Federal Court of Justice’s lead decision, I ZR 216/25, is pending after a hearing on 17 September 2026, so a German Freshbet claim is not yet settled law. The Netherlands is different: since the Hoge Raad’s ruling of 3 July 2026 an unlicensed operator’s contracts, those of Freshbet included, are not automatically void, so a Dutch Freshbet player has no automatic refund and only a case-by-case claim against Freshbet. Outside those three countries we have found no sourced domestic route against Freshbet, and against Freshbet the Curaçao route above applies.

If you are in Canada or Australia

From Canada or Australia the route against Freshbet is the same offshore one, because the domestic bodies say so themselves. The AGCO in Ontario cannot get your money back and only assists with disputes about regulated sites, so not with Freshbet; iGaming Ontario cannot settle bets, refund wagers or award compensation and has no legal relationship with unregulated operators such as Freshbet; and the other provinces, which run government monopolies, give no route we could source against Freshbet. In Australia the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 bans online casinos, ACMA accepts complaints about breaches, and it warns that Australian regulators cannot help if an illegal service withholds your winnings. If you are in the UK

For a UK player the domestic framework simply does not reach Freshbet. It is illegal to provide gambling facilities to consumers in Great Britain without a Gambling Commission operating licence, wherever the operator sits, and Freshbet has none, so the Freshbet account was never inside that framework; but the Commission has no powers to resolve individual complaints or recover money from Freshbet, and its only ask is that unlicensed sites be reported to intelligencereports@gamblingcommission.gov.uk.
