Licence status: could not be validated against the Curaçao Gaming Authority register on 6 September 2026

Not established from 5dimes.eu's own domain this wave: the live site returned a Cloudflare 522 connection timeout, the only available Wayback snapshot (9 April 2026) preserves no readable entity, licence or regulator text in this wave's capture, and the archived terms page has no matching capture. The older www.5dimes.com domain now serves a domain-resale parking page with no operator information. AskGamblers separately names '5Dimes Group' under Costa Rica gambling licensing, a third-party attribution not confirmed against either domain and not adopted here.

Who operates 5Dimes

5dimes.eu's live site returned a Cloudflare 522 connection-timeout error when read on 6 September 2026, serving no footer, entity or licence text. The only available capture is a Wayback Machine snapshot of the homepage timestamped 9 April 2026 (HTTP 200); the saved copy of that snapshot preserves only the Wayback Machine's own toolbar frame, with no entity name, registration number or licence statement visible in this wave's capture. The direct terms URL, https://5dimes.eu/terms, returned no matching archived capture when checked on 6 September 2026, and no terms link could be found on the live homepage before it stopped responding. The older www.5dimes.com domain, read on 6 September 2026, now serves a domain-resale parking page titled '5Dimes - Premium Domains for Sale' with no operator, entity or licence information of any kind.

Because no entity or licence number could be read from either domain, the Curaçao Gaming Authority's online licence register, 3 September 2026 edition, could not be checked against any specific row; a search of that register for '5Dimes' returned no match on 6 September 2026. Third-party review platform AskGamblers, read 7 September 2026, separately names '5Dimes Group' as the operating entity and 'Costa Rica Gambling' as its licence/regulator, and states the listing 'has been terminated due to being unresponsive'; that attribution comes from AskGamblers rather than from 5dimes.eu or www.5dimes.com and has not been confirmed against either domain or against the Curaçao register, so it is reported here rather than adopted into this page's licence fields.

What could be read of the terms

Neither domain's terms could be read this wave. 5dimes.eu's live site was unreachable (Cloudflare 522 connection timeout, read 6 September 2026) before any terms link could be located, and the direct terms URL, https://5dimes.eu/terms, has no matching capture in the Wayback Machine as at 6 September 2026, which reports the URL has not been archived. The www.5dimes.com domain, read 6 September 2026, carries no terms page at all: it is a domain-resale parking page advertising the domain itself for sale, with no site policies, withdrawal conditions, KYC clauses, complaint window, governing law or fee terms published anywhere on it. No withdrawal conditions, verification requirements, complaint window, dormant-fee clause or maximum-win limit can therefore be quoted for 5Dimes from either domain.

Is 5Dimes withholding a withdrawal?

The playbook for a stalled 5Dimes payout is in what to do when a casino withholds your winnings. And if the amount at stake is large, a win 5Dimes voided, a balance it confiscated or a payout it keeps deferring, our withheld winnings service explains which records to preserve and when a 5Dimes file justifies specialist assessment.

What the record shows

Our research found no substantiated public regulatory or court action against 5Dimes. This file reflects licence and status records only, and is not a suggestion of wrongdoing.

Is 5Dimes legit?

The honest answer to "is it legit" has parts. 5Dimes claims a Curaçao licence that could not be validated against the register. Nothing substantiated from a regulator or court sits on the 5Dimes file. With no UK Gambling Commission licence recorded for it, GamStop does not cover it and no UK adjudicator can hear a dispute about it, which counts for more than any star rating once money is stuck. Holding a licence is no assurance that players are treated fairly. A Curaçao licence number can be checked against the CGA's official register using our free licence checker.

Complaints about 5Dimes

5Dimes' listing on AskGamblers, read 7 September 2026, records only 2 total complaints against the brand, with 0 of those resolved, a 6-day average first response and a 10-day average complaint duration; the average disputed amount across the recorded cases is put at $750 (roughly £590). The page's own summary describes delayed or refused withdrawal payouts, customer service described by players as dismissive of legitimate issues, and account restrictions applied without a clear explanation to players attempting to access their balance. AskGamblers' page for the brand also states the listing itself has been terminated due to being unresponsive, and shows the operator as restricted or unavailable in some visitor locations, with the platform recommending alternative sites in its place. No further review or complaint pattern beyond this single third-party listing was read this wave; casino.guru's review page for 5Dimes returned HTTP 403 (Forbidden) on the fetch attempted 7 September 2026, so no content from that source could be read or reported.

A complaint about 5Dimes should go to 5Dimes itself first, in writing, through the complaints channel it publishes or its support address where it publishes none, with every reply kept. If 5Dimes does not resolve it, escalation points at Curacao Gaming Authority (CGA), and in practice the pressure comes from the evidence your own records support. The sequence is set out in how to escalate a casino complaint.

What the licence requires

5Dimes's licence position could not be validated against the register, and no UK Gambling Commission licence is recorded for it, so GamStop and the UK dispute-resolution framework do not apply. Read more on how Curaçao casino law works.

If you are trying to recover money

Because no licence this file could confirm now stands behind 5Dimes, there is no adjudicator anywhere that can order a refund, so recovery runs as a claim built on the 5Dimes terms as they stood when you played and on the evidence your own records support, taken forward with a regulated legal partner where they support it. Preserve your account evidence first, then see how gambling-loss recovery works, the evidence you need to recover losses, and how to escalate a casino complaint.

Search the Curaçao enforcement register for 5Dimes first, because a published action against the licence is a fact your complaint can cite.

Two guides carry the detail for a Curaçao brand like 5Dimes. Getting your money back from a Curaçao casino sets out the complaint order and what the regulator can realistically do about 5Dimes. Where you had self-excluded with 5Dimes and it kept taking deposits, read what a failed self-exclusion is worth. The free complaint route finder maps the order for you.

If the amount is large

Start with the deadline, because on a large 5Dimes withdrawal it is the most useful thing to know. The Curaçao anti-money-laundering regulations of January 2025 give 5Dimes 30 days from the moment your transactions reach NAf 4,000, roughly £1,700 / $2,200, to obtain the information 5Dimes has asked for; if 5Dimes does not, it must terminate the relationship, and where no presumption of money laundering exists the funds are to be transferred to you. The 5Dimes threshold is cumulative, counted daily across all deposits and withdrawals since the 5Dimes account was opened, and where it is crossed because you want to withdraw the regulations call for the 5Dimes account to be frozen completely in the meantime. Enhanced due diligence on higher-risk 5Dimes accounts is where the 5Dimes questions about source of funds and source of wealth come from, covering savings, employment income, property sales, dividends, inheritances and past gambling winnings. Alongside all of that, expect the softer 5Dimes signals: the 5Dimes host stops replying at the point the sum stops being routine, and withdrawal limits buried in the 5Dimes terms start to matter on a £50,000 / $65,000 balance in a way they never did on a £500 / $650 one. The route for a stalled 5Dimes account is under Where you are playing from.

Where you are playing from

Four steps, in order, and they are the same wherever in the world you were playing from, because they attach to the 5Dimes Curaçao licence. Complain in writing to 5Dimes within six months of the incident (LOK Article 5.3: free, acknowledged within a week, answered by 5Dimes within four weeks, extendable once by four weeks). Escalate to alternative dispute resolution, which the LOK requires a licensee to offer at its own expense and which the Authority requires to be run by a provider holding its certification, and which the Authority expects to run no longer than 90 days from the referral; a licensee that has engaged no certified provider is in breach of that requirement rather than exempt from it. Send a copy of the complaint to complaints@cga.cw, knowing the Curaçao Gaming Authority cannot mediate or order compensation but does use complaints to supervise licensees such as 5Dimes. Then the Curaçao courts, which Article 5.5 requires a licensee to nominate in its gaming agreement and where a player’s claim against a licensee such as 5Dimes is enforceable.

The 5Dimes licence could not be validated against the Curacao Gaming Authority (CGA) register, so treat the licence route as conditional on that licence existing; the domestic angles below stand either way.

If you are in the United States

Online gambling in the United States is regulated state by state, and 5Dimes holds no state licence, so no state regulator has authority over your 5Dimes account or over the money 5Dimes is holding. That is the point a bipartisan coalition of 50 state attorneys general put to the Department of Justice in August 2025, asking it to act against offshore platforms operating without proper licensure: enforcement, not a refund scheme for a 5Dimes player. A complaint to your state attorney general or state consumer protection office puts the 5Dimes dispute on record. The money route against 5Dimes is the Curaçao route above, the one attached to the 5Dimes licence.

If you are in the EU

Whether an EU player has a domestic claim against 5Dimes depends on the country. In Austria the position on an operator like 5Dimes is settled: the OGH in 1 Ob 229/20p held that a provider without an Austrian concession acts unlawfully, its contracts are ineffective and the player is entitled to repayment of the stake, so an Austrian 5Dimes player has a recognised route. In Germany the Court of Justice of the EU (Case C-440/23, 16 April 2026) confirmed that EU law does not prevent a restitution claim for stakes lost with 5Dimes on games prohibited in the player’s home state, though that ruling concerned Malta-licensed operators rather than 5Dimes and the BGH’s lead decision (I ZR 216/25, hearing 17 September 2026) is pending, so a German 5Dimes claim is not yet settled law. The Dutch Supreme Court ruled on 3 July 2026 that contracts with an unlicensed operator such as 5Dimes are not automatically void, so a Dutch 5Dimes player has no automatic refund, only a possible claim against 5Dimes for mistake or in tort. For every other EU country the sourced route against 5Dimes is the Curaçao route above, the one attached to the 5Dimes licence.

If you are in Canada or Australia

From Canada or Australia the route against 5Dimes is the same offshore one, because the domestic bodies say so themselves. The AGCO in Ontario cannot get your money back and only assists with disputes about regulated sites, so not with 5Dimes; iGaming Ontario cannot settle bets, refund wagers or award compensation and has no legal relationship with unregulated operators such as 5Dimes; and the other provinces, which run government monopolies, give no route we could source against 5Dimes. In Australia the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 bans online casinos, ACMA accepts complaints about breaches, and it warns that Australian regulators cannot help if an illegal service withholds your winnings. Against 5Dimes, pursue the Curaçao route above.

If you are in the UK

Being in the UK adds no route against 5Dimes, because 5Dimes holds no Gambling Commission licence and the Commission’s protections travel with the licence, not the player. GAMSTOP covers only operators licensed in Great Britain, so it did not block 5Dimes. The ADR duty binds Commission licensees only, which 5Dimes is not, and IBAS adjudicates only disputes with operators registered with it, a registration this file does not record for 5Dimes. The Commission has no powers to resolve individual gambling complaints or help consumers get their money back from 5Dimes, and instead asks for unlicensed sites to be reported to intelligencereports@gamblingcommission.gov.uk. The route open to you against 5Dimes is the Curaçao route above, the one attached to the 5Dimes licence.

FAQ

Common questions about 5Dimes

Can I get my money back from 5Dimes?

Possibly. No licence this file could confirm now stands behind 5Dimes, so there is no regulator or adjudicator anywhere that can order a refund. Recovery instead works through the 5Dimes terms as they stood when you played, the evidence your payment history supports, and where appropriate a regulated legal partner. The right route depends on your evidence, and our initial assessment is free and confidential.

5Dimes's licence position could not be validated against the register check recorded on this file. It is recorded as listed under Curacao Gaming Authority (CGA). This licence sits outside GamStop, so a GamStop self-exclusion does not block accounts held under it.

5Dimes's position on UK players is not clear-cut. The operator's terms could not be read this wave: 5dimes.eu returned a Cloudflare 522 connection timeout before any terms link could be located, the direct terms URL has no matching Wayback capture as at 6 September 2026, and the www.5dimes.com domain carries no terms page at all, so no restricted-territories clause could be quoted. Whichever applies, the licence in force when you played is what shapes the routes open to you.

Our research found no substantiated public regulator or court action against 5Dimes. This file reflects licence and status records only, and is not a suggestion of wrongdoing.

Preserve the evidence first: screenshot your balance, the stuck withdrawal, chat transcripts and emails, and save the terms as they read today. Then make one formal written complaint and escalate to the right authority or a regulated legal partner. Avoid closing the account or accepting a partial settlement before you have taken advice.

No. Nothing is sent to any operator without your written consent. The first an operator hears of your case is a formal complaint you have approved.

Is 5Dimes holding your money?

The sooner the evidence is preserved, the stronger the file. Our initial assessment is free and strictly confidential.
